We’re seeking a full stack back-end Ruby on Rails developer to help us build out the world’s largest on-line membership club for women who can never have enough luxury shoes.

As our first in-house developer you’ll be leveraging our initial prototype to develop a functional back-end to support it. Not only will you be working on cutting-edge technology development, you’ll also be hanging out with shoe fashionistas and helping us make a difference in women’s lives.

What You Will Be Doing -Full Stack Ruby on Rails Development -As our first engineer you will lead the back-end technical design & development decisions -Future potential to help build out the team as we grow

What You Need for this Position -You need to be a woman (living within or near the Triangle) -Wanting to make a difference in women’s lives (and of course liking shoes helps!) -Curiosity and an ability to learn new things on your own or via your network -Experience building Rails applications (1-3+ years) -Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL or other datastores -Comfortable with Github and version-control -Experience writing tests and refactoring -Front-end integration experience to iOS apps (a nice to have) -Communication & organizational skills (we have a habit of planning & tracking)
