Glide Cruisers, USA is a 5 year old bootstrap company with a great product line, engineering and lots of potential in a growing industry. We have completed 3 small production runs with our initial models and have noted happy customers to-date. We are now ready to scale the company for prime-time!
The downside is that the company is under capitalized at the moment and we are therefore positioning to raise early-stage capital in 2015. On that note, if a potential Co-Founder has financial resources and/or a network to help fund the company – certainly a larger equity position would be available. In addition, we could certainly ignite and organically support growth through sales as well, so a candidate that can demonstrate bootstrap skills in this way would be a big plus.
Glide is a clean technology company positioned in the short-range transportation industry. We have a consumer models division including a rental fleet model and a police / patrol division with several new product models in the development pipeline. It would be preferred that a candidate has relevant experience in clean tech, consumer products and/or the bicycle or motorcycle industries.
Experience in channel sales / sales management, marketing and consumer products is preferred. Start-up experience with "high growth" operations and an exit – a big bonus.
This is initially a non-paid position until such time as the company has resources to support salaries. Participating as a co-founder in this regard can yield a certain degree of risk, but obviously high rewards if we assemble the right team. A strong candidate with experience, a good network and the ability to help scale the business with the original founder (and sole owner) will bring long-term success and financial rewards.
