Overview
You will join a specialized annotation team that creates training data for advanced AI models. No prior AI experience is required. This is an opportunity to work with a leading organization in the AI and LLM field. We are looking for software engineers with at least three years of experience to help train large language models and improve their code-generation abilities. Projects involve a wide range of tasks where you will interact with models as they learn to code. We currently have more than 200 openings.
What Will I Be Doing?
• Reviewing AI-generated code and providing clear explanations of your reasoning
• Solving coding challenges by writing clean, effective code
• Creating comprehensive test cases to verify code performance
• According to the technical project manager, this includes tackling coding problems, writing instructions, reviewing code before it is used to train the model, and handling a wide variety of tasks—from comparing Python snippets to building full mobile apps using a chatbot and then refining the chatbot’s responses
Pay Rates
Compensation varies by country and experience level.
These rates represent starting points and may change. See the full list via the link.
• US: 50 USD per hour
• Brazil: 25.40 USD per hour
• Egypt: 14.60 USD per hour
• Philippines: 24.20 USD per hour
You are expected to work at least 15 hours per week, with no maximum. Many engineers work 20–40 hours weekly, and some exceed 40. You will be paid weekly for the time spent working on the platform.
Contract Length
• This is a long-term role with no set end date, and work is projected for at least the next two years
• You may end the contract at any time; although a 12-month commitment is preferred, it’s understood if the role isn’t the right fit
Flexible Schedules
• You choose your working hours. While 40 hours per week is ideal, schedules are flexible, and team members are expected to manage project needs responsibly
• Long breaks are acceptable. You are paid based on the time you actively spend completing tasks on the platform, not traditional time tracking
Interview Process
1. Submit an application through the Ashby form
2. If selected, you’ll receive an asynchronous RLHF code review assignment that takes about 35 minutes and must be completed within 72 hours
3. You’ll be given RLHF platform access and invited to a group call to review onboarding details
4. You’ll complete a simulated production RLHF task, which serves as the final interview and determines eligibility and level. Successful completion qualifies you for project opportunities as they arise
