The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of uConnect’s internship and job recruitment platform. This new platform, which is tailored to college students, includes websites, web apps, mobile apps, splash pages, and other marketing tools. The Full Stack Developer will work closely with the operating team to create highly scalable code, transforming ideas into innovative and effective digital content.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and translate ideas, tasks, and projects into high quality code
  • Collaborate with operating team in product development and strategic planning
  • Work closely with designers to develop and bring high-quality designs to life
  • Offer guidance and recommendations for technical decision making
  • Deliver fully-tested solutions to operating team
  • Manage future growth of development team (hiring, training, mentoring, etc.)
  • Work a minimum of 20hrs/week (flexible hours)

Required Skills:

  • Expert knowledge in PHP, HTML, and CSS
  • Fluid knowledge of Javascript
  • Experience coding custom themes with WordPress
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple intraday requests
  • Must be highly organized (develop and adhere to multiple timelines)
  • Willing to collaborate over Skype (or similar online software applications)
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other team members; eager to learn, ask questions, and provide insights

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using LESS or SASS Framework
  • Experience working with jQuery
  • Experience using Scrum
  • Experience with process management
  • Located in Greater Boston Area
