PopUpsters is looking for a Lead Web Site developer to join our Bay Area based team. We are looking for an individual who is creative, self-motivated and hardworking. We are a mission-based organization and we are looking for passionate team players that want to change the world with us.
PopUpsters connects vendors, artisans and makers of all kinds with unique and affordable spaces to PopUp, start and grow their business. Since our founding in 2013, we have grown our team to 4 full time members and are currently raising a round of funding. As part of the Tumml Urban Impact Accelerator Summer 2014 Cohort, we have been able to create and test a profitable business model and we are looking to expand out of the Bay Area in the next 3 months. To date, we have placed almost 600 vendors, adding almost $100k to the local economy.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current web technologies including responsive design, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JSON, Javascript, Ajax and who is comfortable integrating several APIs into our current PHP software. Ideally, this candidate would eventually head our technology team.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Web development
- API integration
- Creating web pages from mocked up layouts
- Consulting with the executive team on how to best implement new technologies
- Researching and analyzing technology solutions
Required Skills:
- PHP expertise
- WordPress expertise
- Responsive Web Design
- Javascript
- HTML5 & CSS3
- Confidently handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong proofreading, written & verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with positive attitude and strong work ethic
