We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer who can own the Spatch iOS app. When we say own, we really mean it. You’ll be the CEO for Spatch iOS.
You’ll be taking ownership of end-to-end product quality, from the core frameworks of the app to the density independent pixels in the UI. You’ll be leading prototypes of new ideas and explore new technologies on the forefront of mobile technology and messaging. You’ll work to improve our engineering processes as we scale mobile development throughout the whole company and be creating the best tools around for analysis and troubleshooting, including real-time analytics, run-time configurations, and crash reporting.
Requirements: Care deeply about the end user and delivering a great user experience 2+ years professional experience working in mobile app development with deep familiarity of Objective-C, Cocoa and Xcode Current with best iOS practices and design patterns Happy to get nerdy about memory management, UI layout and rendering, or network performance Shipped successful apps to the App Store that you’re proud of and that demonstrate your commitment to quality and detail Excellent understanding of networking, concurrency and threading Deep knowledge of Core Data (and/or SQL databases), including different architecture approaches and their benefits Turn ideas into extremely fast and reliable code that other people or you, 6 months ahead – will find easy to comprehend and modify Strong understanding of not just UI and client development, but also the data model and the API stack Strong interpersonal communication skills, and interest in developing the abilities of others Solid foundation in computer science, understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design A hacker at heart. Intellectually curious, collaborative, self-motivated, fast learner comfortable with venturing into the unknown Take individual ownership and pursue resolution tenaciously Major plus: Active contributor to open source community
