Spatch is looking for front-end engineers to craft some of the most sophisticated application interfaces on the web. Front-end software engineers at Spatch specialize in building responsive, elegant web UIs with a strong understanding of our entire application stack. They strive to push the envelope in what is possible in a web browser. We seek individuals with strong design sensibilities and interest in delivering delightful interfaces.

You’ll specialize in building groundbreaking web applications using advanced JavaScript, CSS and HTML. You’ll be contributing to presentation layer standards and practices. You’ll help prototype future interfaces and you’ll work closely with our product and design teams, as well as other engineers and the data team.

Requirements: – An excitement for the Spatch vision and opportunity – 5+ years of experience in developing highly interactive Web applications with modular, reusable JavaScript, and advanced HTML/CSS.- You care deeply about the end user and delivering a great user experience – Experience with module loaders (Browserify, RequireJS or Webpack) – Experience with build automation (Grunt, Gulp, etc) – Strong understanding of infrastructure for serving web applications (REST principles, caching, cookies, COORS, etc) – Experience with TDD/BDD (Mocha, Phantom, Chai, SinonJS) – Experience with JavaScript package managers (Npm, Bower, Jam) – Experience with Backbone and Angular interested about React and Flux Architecture – Some experience with server-side languages (Python, Java, Ruby, Node, etc) – A hacker at heart. Intellectually curious, collaborative, self-motivated, fast learner that is comfortable with venturing into the unknown – Take individual ownership of issues and pursue resolution tenaciously – Major plus: Active contributor to open source community
