Building a genuine community from Workable’s users will be critical to the company’s success. You will lead this effort, harnessing customers who love Workable & transforming them into effective advocates for it.

You’ll lead our efforts on social media, content & our newsletter, helping to give an approachable, likeable & authoritative voice to Workable.

You’ll also be designing & executing campaigns to improve our engagement with existing & prospective customers.

The role calls for someone with the creativity to make a contribution in a smart team & the capacity to deliver consistent work with an unerring eye for detail.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Workable’s presence on all social media & expanding an existing newsletter
  • Implementing a reviews campaign & identifying brand evangelists
  • Providing the necessary metrics to refine & improve our community strategy
  • Writing & editing new content
  • Researching & implementing email marketing campaigns
  • Researching & analyzing competitor community approaches
  • Working with the development, editorial & marketing teams to drive sign-ups

The must-haves:

  • Solid understanding of social media
  • Demonstrable writing & editing skills
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with content marketing

The good-to-haves:

  • Experience of community management for a startup or fast-growth company
  • Familiarity with email marketing and customer communication tools (MailChimp, Intercom etc)

Ideally this position will be based in our Boston, MA office however we are open to considering candidates who can work in our NYC office or in other locations, as long as they are willing to travel on a semi-regular basis.

Salary and compensation

$50,000 — $70,000/year
