As an integral part of our team the Content Developer manages in-house and out-of-house development of both print and digital products to clarify, strengthen, and enhance their quality.

The position involves (1) maximizing the potential of the product in content, quality, packaging, and marketability, (2) managing outside development suppliers, (3) project scheduling and production-related duties.

This position focuses on learning, project management and professional development subject matter.

Participates in refining the product premise, defining the target market, and determining the scope and nature of development work.

Participates in development of content, theme, and design of promotional materials.

Conducts market research to identify key customers, develops and utilizes a variety of market research tools analyzes, interprets, and effectively communicates results to the product development team.

Assists authors in identifying teaching problems in the target course and in developing a viable and attractive product premise.

Strives to achieve content that is correct, clear, complete, current, legal and consistent.

Analyzes competing products.

Assists in design of user interface and logical program flow.

Recommends design of layouts,and packaging of courseware and other media.

Keeps abreast of market changes

Knowledge/Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 2 years print and digital product development and project management experience. Tech savvy with a basic understanding of new media and technology. Outstanding organizational and time management skills are critical. Must be an excellent communicator and a team player and have strong interpersonal skills. Effective networking and negotiating skills.
