We are looking for a dynamic Data Scientist to help develop the core IP that will power our analytics platform and take iQto the next level. This is critical role, so we need someone who doesn’t just process statistics, but who looks at data from many angles, testing and discovering new insights independently.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Located in LA or SF, you will report to the Head of Analytics, working closely with our entire VF team, external consultantsand vendors. Specifically, we’re looking for you to do the following:

1. Conduct sophisticated analyses of, and develop models for, energy usage, routing, utilization, car-sharing, anddeployment around vehicle fleets;
2. Develop robust algorithms that extract and process data, from multiple sources, and cluster the results in our VFiQbackend (SQL/NoSQL);
3. Design experiments and identify novel approaches for improving vehicle, fleet, and driver productivity that utilize nontraditionaldata sources;
4. Assist/create the telematics (on-board) data collection logic and post-process scripts to monitor and quantifyperformance of individual vehicles and fleets;
5. Develop data tools to assist management in real-life business decision making;
6. Effectively communicate analytics results to VF management and customers using compelling visualizations andpresentations.

This role is for someone proactive and inquisitive who can read data, spot trends, make predictions and present resultssuccinctly.
