The gig

We’re growing our DJ-centric music curation and editorial team and are looking for multi-talented self starters with limitless ambition and an undeniable passion for music. This role calls for someone who can identify and execute the best music playlist listening experiences for a multitude of moods, moments, and genres, has a passion for performance-oriented analytics, and has her/his ears to the ground in the music community.

In this role, you will

• Curate and take full accountability for the performance of assigned genre modules • Identify and substantiate playlist hypotheses, i.e. ‘Panorama Bar classics,’ ‘90’s Drum & Bass, etc.’ • Proactively look for Pulselocker users that are also great curators • Analyze analytics and performance indicators of your own work • Work with the content merchandising team as well as cross-functional teams to progress towards various content objectives • Proactively identify trends through analysis of industry as well as our competitors • Identify new talent and develop relationships with electronic musicians in order to source and acquire DJ charts as well as other landing page components

Requirements

• Experience in programming music • A passion for music in multiple genres • Perfect English — both speaking and writing • A keen sense of what makes music appropriate for different situations, and an ability to identify great tracks to fit • Exceptional organizational skills • Ability to work with and respond to analytics • Keen attention to detail • Strong propensity to take initiative and thrive on change

Nice to have

• A&R music industry experience (record label, physical or digital distribution network) • Experience dealing with labels, artists, suppliers and aggregators • Knowledge of additional languages •A strong understanding of and experience with Pulselocker as a user and fan
