TXODDS, a leading odds data provider for the top betting companies in Europe and Asia, are looking for aScalaand data-driven applications developer to boost their capability for delivering rapid and high quality updates to the mid-tier and in-flight and at-rest data-centric applications.

The candidate will need to have a confident level of knowledge of the up-to-date algorithmic and functional development cycle. They will have to absorb and become familiar with a complicated codebase that spans a number of different technologies with the recent re-write ongoing inScala. The knowledge of such technologies as the Hadoop stack including Spark, Kafka, JMS, Redis, Cassandra as well as of MysQL and SQL Server are very important and experience or exposure to Python and Go would be a great bonus.

The company has committed to good documentation in Confluence and Jira as well as a fast turnaround ticketing system for customers. Working on the ongoing issues will also be part of the job definition.

The role will be on a long lasting basis, organised in a flexible way with home work in combination with travel to meetings in Europe (and possibly, the Far East) the likely option but a distinct possibility to join a more stable office in Amsterdam, Barcelona or Bratislava later on. The remuneration will be negotiable but will match the current market rates and be according to experience.
