Job Title: Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative

Pay: $16.50 per hour paid bi‑weekly, or $17.25 per hour for English/Spanish bilingual applicants.
Location: Remote, but you must reside in Buffalo, NY.
Schedule:
• After 30 days, pay increases to $18.00 per hour, or $18.75 per hour for bilingual employees.
• Monday through Friday only; no weekend shifts.
• During peak periods, expect 40 hours per week with possible overtime.
• During slower periods, weekly hours may vary from 32 to 40 depending on client needs.
• Must be available for shifts between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with occasional extended hours until 10:00 or 11:00 PM.
• Some West Coast clients may require availability from 5:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Role Summary:
We are seeking Remote Benefits Customer Service Representatives (local candidates only). In this position, you will help members understand and manage their healthcare and pension benefits, providing meaningful assistance that impacts their daily lives.

Key Duties:
• Help members enroll in benefits and make changes to their health or pension plans.
• Deliver excellent service via phone, email, and webchat.
• Start by supporting one client and receive training to assist additional clients over time.
• Respond to a wide range of member inquiries with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
• Review and explain plan documents in easy‑to‑understand terms.
• Manage confidential information securely while following HIPAA and data privacy guidelines.

Requirements:
This is a remote position, but you must live locally. Equipment pickup is required on your first day, and occasional in‑person meetings may be needed.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service or call center experience is helpful but not required—training is provided.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work well with different personality types.
• Basic computer proficiency.
