The Sales Director is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing revenue for all products and services within one or several customer segments and for one or more teams. They coach managers and in conjunction with managers’ help develop high performing employees. Manage departmental budget. Establishes strategic initiatives and projects together with direct supervisor. Typically possesses 7 years’ experience managing a sales team with a background in selling into Financial Services firms.
Your Next Challenge:
- Coaches Sales Managers to ensure employees perform against relevant key performance indicators.
- Supports team members to meet or exceed annual sales targets.
- Leads the development of new business plans to meet clients’ needs and maximize business opportunities.
- Identifies and develops high performing employees and effectively coach those in need of improvement.
- Trains team members on selling techniques including relationship building at the appropriate levels.
- Manages department budget and make adjustments when necessary.
- Monitors current conditions and trends amongst clients and the Financial Services sector and adjusts priorities accordingly.
- Establishes strategic initiatives and projects together direct supervisor.
- Works cross-functionally with key partners, especially in marketing, product, finance, technology, legal and sales operations.
- Coordinates the completion of accurate, relevant sales reports to senior management on a timely basis.
What You’ll Need:
- Desired 12 years relevant and/or management experience in this field with a background in the Financial Services industry.
- Advanced knowledge of coaching, motivating and managing a team. Demonstrated ability to set targets and KPIs, establish expectations, hold people accountable, recognize and rewards employees to keep motivation and retention of quality employees high.
- Industry knowledge and experience required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with client contacts and long term relationships. Understand their business direction; understand medium to long term goals.
- Ability to present solutions, persuade, negotiate and close a sale.
- Strong customer service and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships via telephone.
- Ability to work to deadlines and thrive in a sales environment.
- Ability to be agile, remain focused and make smart decisions in a rapidly changing, often ambiguous environment.
- Advanced computer literacy of all MS Office, CRM or Salesforce, web technologies, and other relevant software applications.
- Relevant advance level degree preferred.

$155,920 – $194,900 a year
Sales roles at Getty Images are compensated based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: qualifications, skill level, demonstrated expertise, certification, business requirements, requirements for the position, geographic location, and level of responsibility relative to the position requirements. Given these factors and others, the starting base pay range for this position can be quite broad, typically from $155,920- $194,900 USD. The company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any point in the future.
