Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the full life-cycle of application development in a small team of developers. Your responsibilities will include:
Someplanning/specifications gathering. The decision on what features to writewill be made by your supervisor. In some case, they will also do the initial specifications gathering. Other times, you will be in directcontact with customer(s) for their input on a new feature.
Designingnew features
Implementation/developmentof new features in C#(user interface, business logic, and dataaccess)
Deployment/creatinginstallation files(Our technical support team will handled theactual installations.)
Maintenance,including posting updates for the automatic updater.
Tier-2support: There is a dedicated group that provides technical support. However ifthey cannot address an issue or it is a confirmed bug, then it will bereferred to a developer.
Our product is currently C# WinForms, LINQ to SQL, MS SQL Server, with reports in client side MS SQL Reports. Some of the work is enhancing the system for our current customers. Some is adding new features to make the software work better in other markets we are expanding into. And some will be moving parts of the application to the cloud. There are also some web services and some web applications in ASP. NET.
