We’re looking for a European-based Developer Evangelist to expand our relationships with the European development community, drive grassroots awareness of DreamFactory, and build technical content and demo applications to demonstrate how DreamFactory can help developers build great applications. We’re looking for someone who is skilled at evangelizing new technologies for real-world use cases and enjoys engaging developers at conferences, meetups, and hackathons.
Responsibilities
- Represent DreamFactory by speaking at conferences, meetups, user groups, webinars, hackathons, etc.
- Build demo applications to show DreamFactory in action and teach developers how to use DreamFactory for their development projects.
- Write technical content for our blog and other channels to show developers how to use DreamFactory in different scenarios.
- Build strong relationships in a variety of developer communities (Javascript, Angular, jQuery, React, PHP, Swift, Android, IoT, MongoDB, etc.).
- Gather feedback from developers to help guide product development and marketing direction.
- Interact with developers on the community forum and help the support team as needed with tech questions.
Skills & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in technology – technical evangelism and technical marketing/writing experience is a huge bonus
- Respected leader in the developer community or aspiring to become one
- Passionate about helping developers learn new technologies
- Excellent communicator who enjoys interacting with people. Comfortable speaking in front of large audiences
- Strong engineering skills (ideally with JS, SQL, and REST APIs) with a finger on the pulse of emerging technology trends (e.g. Microservices, React, Swift, etc.)
- iOS and/or Android knowledge is a plus, but not required
- Strong technical writing skills with examples
- Able to travel to events throughout Europe
- Highly self-motivated, responsible, and independent, with exceptional attention to detail
Salary and compensation
$90,000 — $140,000/year
