We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative engineer to manage R&D initiatives for current and future scanners. You will be involved in the design, development, validation and testing of SoundFit’s 3D scanners.
We are looking for team members with experience developing medical/scientific instruments and performing analysis of imaging systems. We are looking for R&D team members to optimising data capture and modeling processes.
Desired skills & expertise
M. S. degree in Computer Science or Optical Engineering with at least 2 years of industry experience or a Ph. D degree in the field of Computer Science or Engineering. Strong mathematical background in computer vision, image processing, 3D reconstruction and applied statistics. Knowledge of computational geometry and 3d processing algorithms. Knowledge of image and video analysis including object recognition and detection. Good analytical and complex problem solving skills. Coding skills in C/C++/Matlab is a plus.. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
The SugarCube™ initial market is audiologists and custom fit ear products. We are already partnering with Autodesk and Type A Machines to develop future markets.

We are headquartered in San Leandro, California, in a former Chrysler manufacturing plant known as The Gate. At the Gate, BAAM members work together as an ecosystem of non-competing products and services, often testing solutions within the city of San Leandro before expanding to the US and global markets.
