Competitive compensation

We are a lightning-paced startup based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, currently incubated at the Harvard innovation Lab. Papero is a new way to share and annotate articles, podcasts, and videos in private threads with friends and family. We’re looking for a motivated developer who can work with us towards launching a product that millions of users love.

We’re currently testing our web app on a select group of early adopters. There’s lots to build from here, and we’re iterating quickly. We want someone who can help out on all levels, with a particular focus on developing our front end architecture. However, an appreciation of how the whole site fits together is key at this early stage.

We run Ruby on Rails on the backend, with a Backbone/Marionette framework on the front end.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Some experience with different front end packages
• ABSOLUTELY MOST IMPORTANT: can learn quickly!

Bonus qualities (not required):

• You have worked with Backbone before
• You have experience with mobile dev.

This is great opportunity to work with a fun team (honest), and learn all the skills of working on early stage products that are hard to teach without getting your hands dirty. You’ll work with our coder-in-chief, Guillaume Sabran, famed for being efficient and helpful.

There will be a trial period of one month. WE ARE ALSO LOOKING TO HIRE LONGER TERM. If you smash this internship out of the park, we will want to keep you on.

START DATE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! However, even if you can’t start for a month or two, we want to hear from you.
