You’ll be joining a specialised engineering team focused on solving real, high-impact healthcare automation problems using AI.
What You’ll Do
- As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and empower a team of senior full-stack engineers who build the systems powering our healthcare automation platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of senior full-stack engineers, enabling them to excel in execution and grow in their careers.
- Run effective 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and drive a culture of ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with recruiting to hire exceptional engineers and help scale the team.
- Technical Execution & Delivery
- Own execution for key engineering initiatives across backend, frontend, and platform layers.
- Drive architectural discussions, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with product goals.
- Manage project delivery—breaking down complex problems, creating clear execution plans, and ensuring predictable outcomes.
- Provide guidance on technical design reviews, code quality, and engineering best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product and platform teams to align priorities, define requirements, and deliver impactful features. Translate product and business objectives into technical roadmaps for the team.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between engineering and other functions.
- Operational Excellence
- Champion observability, fault tolerance, and robust engineering practices across the stack.
- Improve developer velocity through tooling, processes, and automation.
- Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and maintain a high-quality bar for engineering output.
- Culture & Leadership
- Drive engineering rituals—sprint planning, retros, decision records, and technical deep-dives.
- Uphold and evolve 100ms engineering principles around craftsmanship, reliability, and impact.
Who Can Apply
- Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
- Strong technical background in full-stack development, with experience in Python, Go, Nodejs & modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
- Experience building and scaling production-grade systems with strong fundamentals in CS, system design, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, break down complex problems, and drive execution at a high bar.
- Exceptional communication, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience managing senior or staff-level engineers in a high-growth environment.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and microservices .
- Experience working on AI/LLM-powered systems, healthcare-related products, or regulated environments is a plus. Track record of improving engineering processes, team health, and delivery metrics.
- Passion for coaching, developing talent, and building high-performing engineering teams.

Additional Information
- At 100ms, we place a strong emphasis on in-office presence to promote collaboration and strengthen company culture. Employees are expected to work from the office at least three days a week — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
