Tech skills • Practical expertise in PHP. • Experience with building and/or maintaining scalable Web apps with many users, cloud deployment (AWS, Heroku) & related technologies. • Experience with both consuming and crafting APIs. Experience in SOA is a plus. Knowledge of OAuth / https://oauth.io / Facebook / Twitter / other social APIs is highly desirable. • Able to author robust, modular & testable code using a rational mix of OOP, functional & event driven / asynchronous approaches. • Solid knowledge of RDBMS such as Postgress or MySQL & Relational DB Design. Experience with a solid ORM is a plus. • Good knowledge of Test Driven Development, deployment & continuous integration pipelines using git, git-flow, travis-ci or equivalent. • A degree in CS, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent 5 years of experience. Nice to have: • Understanding of SPA front-end development (UI MV* libraries like AngularJs or BackboneJs) and HTML5/CSS3 is desirable. • Experience in PHP Frameworks (Symfony2, Zend, Yii etc.) • Usage of modern meta-languages & transpilers such as Jade/HAML, Less/SASS, CoffeeScript / LiveScript etc is encouraged. • Any experience with Reporting software is a plus. • Team / project management skills with agile / scrum / kanban. Relevant tools knowledge is a plus. • Contribution in Open Source Software – github account is highly welcomed. • Fluent in English (written) and willingness to document thoroughly.
