AwesomeBox is looking for a motivated full stack software engineer to enrich and expand the AwesomeBox experience. You are an engineer at the core and excel at being one, and want to be even better. To be fully satisfied, you view yourself as part tester, part designer, and part product manager. Your focus is on the customer, and you realize being a Ruby master alone is not what builds products customers love. You’re the kind of person who will log a bug because the UI is off by a pixel somewhere. We’ll leverage this attention to detail in building a quality product rather than saying you are too picky. The breadth of challenges and exercising them in a small nimble team is what you crave.
Responsibilities Include
- Own the full life cycle of adding new features to the product. From detailing functional requirements, through testing and preparing for deployment to production.
- Design and develop features that span the full stack.
- Employ code quality mechanisms via code reviews and comprehensive test plans that include manual and automated tests.
- Design and implement analytics to help drive drive product decisions A/B testing
- You are results driven. You will seek out whatever is needed in order to deliver on your commitments.
- You are very well organized and can differentiate between what is important vs what is urgent.
Qualifications
- Over 3 years experience with software development
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, Javascript, SASS/CSS, and browser client frameworks such as Ember.js, Backbone.js, or others.
- Experience with SQL databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication. AwesomeBox has team members in multiple physical locations.
- Startup experience is a bonus

$60,000 — $110,000/year
