UX Developer – Emphasis on Angular.js / Nodejs / MongoDB / Redis The Opportunity: We’re looking for an experienced UX developer based in either Virginia Beach, VA or the Washington, DC metro area, however remote (tele) workers will be considered for the position also if they have excellent communications skills andare willing to travel to either of the above locations several times per year. The Day to Day:
- Develop front-end interfaces for web apps people use every day
- Find ways to make appsfun and natural, sousers intuitively know how to work the app
- Build appsand back-end frameworks that are maintainable, flexible and scaleable
- Anticipate tomorrow’s problems by understanding of what users are trying to accomplish
Requirements:
- Experience withJavascript, Angular.js and Nodejs
- Comfort with asynchronous programming methodology
- Experience with web tech including REST, HTML 5 and CSS
- Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or other BIG databases
- Familiarity with jQuery
- US Citizenship
Bonus Points:
- DevOps experience with Linux or FreeBSD
- Experience with Linux Containers and Docker
- Familiarity with data visualization tools likeD3.js
- Experience working with XML or JSON data
- Experience with sigmajs or graphviz
- Experience with Python, Ruby, Perl and/or shell scripting
- Experience with the Go programming language
- Mac OS X familiarity
- BS or MS in a technology or scientific field of study
- High energy level and pleasant, positive attitude!
- History of participation in organized sports (high school or college athletic teams)
