We need someone who can lead the development of a database, and manage the front and back-end development of an online platform. Your first contract at Stage 1, will run 6-12 weeks, and after that, we will aim to keep you on board for the forthcoming stages.

In this first step, we need someone who is willing to put in the hours, and has the creativity to develop the idea with us. We are four Executive level MBAs, co-founders of SAWA Partners, with a history of successful companies launched in the last 3 years.

Backed by the UK government’s Enterprise scheme, as well as by two major corporations, we have the opportunity to create a platform that will change how businesses contribute to meet the social and environmental needs of our planet. Your ideas and views will be instrumental in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities (at Stage 1)

-Work with the SAWA Team and key business stakeholders to identify software product requirements. -Create detailed specs for software engineering team and iterate to an implementable solution. -Test all newly developed features for desired form and functionality.

Required Skills & Experience

-Programming background. -2+ years of experience developing and launch product, preferably at a software company. -Strong technical acumen. -Ability to work independently.

Desired/Preferred Skills -Leadership and project management experience. -MySQL database familiarity.

Compensation details and Workplace

All of our funds are being comitted towards development, and at this stage, the reward for your contribution is based on ownership of the software (which we are funding).

You will be expected to work either from SAWA’s shared meeting space (at Imperial College), or from home.

Partner Tom Selva is dedicating 3 of every 4 weeks to this project to expedite its development and ensure its success. You will have the choice of working either full-time or part-time, depending on your level of experience.
