Responsibilities: Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes Develop automation to quickly and rapidly deploy instances from hardened images Using monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and/or escalate to development and ensure that we exceed our SLAs Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting developers in debugging application issues using tools Participate in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure Contribute to the creation of system support documents such as run books Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines
Highly Desired Skills/Experience: Java development experience At least 5 years experience in a DevOps role in an AdTech climate
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study. Three (3) year’s years’ experience with each of the following: CentOS systems administration, with the 2 most recent years being Linux Working with AWS and familiarity interacting with the AWS APIs and working with tools such as Boto or Knife; experience with networking, properly architecting high availability systems, and security in an AWS context Working with a modern configuration management tool such as Chef, Puppet, or Cfengine 3 A thorough and applicable understanding of: Protocols/technologies such as HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC, Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML Configuration management and load balancing concepts Application clustering and virtualization technologies Solid experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies such as EC2, RDS, DynamoDB and S3
