About the Role
This vital position requires an experienced and adaptable accounting leader responsible for growing and managing the accounting team. Responsibilities include developing and guiding our accounting staff, overseeing inventory, refining processes, and implementing and maintaining internal controls.
Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop accounting team to scale with the needs of our rapidly growing business
    • Oversee and improve all accounting processes (A/P, revenue, inventory, fixed assets payroll, etc.)
    • Leverage (and if necessary implement )systems to support efficient processes
    • Coordinate and own efficient financial close processes
    • Manage outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s) and credit card companies
    • Maintain a strong understanding of our cash flows; be the gate keeper for unusual activity and unneeded expense
    • Refine company operating procedures as they relate to finance, implement company wide controls
    • Review vendor contracts and agreements
    • Help coordinate company financial planning and budget management
Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business; CPA certification strongly preferred
    • 7+ years accounting experience; experience in public accounting, retail industry and growth stage startups (IPO) a big plus
    • Prior experience managing and leading staff
    • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Experience implementing internal controls and running audits
    • NetSuite proficiency a strong plus
$160,000 – $200,000 a year
