The DevOps team at Amyris supports a suite of custom applications that make this cutting-edge science possible.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a specialization in cloud technologies. In this role, they will develop and support CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, write documentation, work closely with software developers, and proactively improve the efficiency and efficacy of the software at Amyris.

They will also have the opportunity to set the direction for our cloud migration. This will involve design, planning, roll-out, and maintenance of a wide range of cloud technologies, including storage, networking, container orchestration, monitoring, security, and data science. In this capacity, they will set the standards for Cloud technology at Amyris, and you will help develop a Cloud Center of Excellence.

We are looking for a motivated, independent engineer who can learn technologies quickly, and who can translate needs across teams – including communicating with stakeholders who are not experts in software infrastructure. This position offers flexibility to design new systems from the ground up – and to have a real impact on Amyris’ ability to deliver synthetic organisms.
