MGR Accounting Recruiters, a Teamshares Network company, is searching for a Controller for a client in San Antonio.

In office role- no remote option

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join a multiple location growing restaurant group. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations while providing strategic financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all transactional accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to provide financial insights.

Requirements:

• CPA and CMA Required.
• Experience with Restaurant365 strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in a Controller role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong hands-on accounting skills; willing to roll up your sleeves in daily transactions.
• Proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Required.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, cost controls, and internal audits.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
