Two cofounders of newly formed social media app are looking for a third innovative motivated individual who can take a social media concept and make it a reality.

You will drive all aspects of mobile app development, including UI and UX for the startup. Our concept leverages already existing services to create easy social opportunities for young professionals in new cities. The core idea behind our concept — to focus on a certain niche market in the young professional set — has, to our knowledge, not been duplicated.

We are looking for a candidate that is willing to take equity in this project in exchange for initial app development and web presence, and hopefully a longer term role in the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with cofounders to lead design and launch of mobile app and web presence for implementation of concept. Develop mockups of app and web presence, including clean and intuitive UI using newest technologies. Build out mobile optimized UI, using responsive design, perform browser and mobile testing to ensure compatibility.

Most importantly, thrive in a situation where creativity is encouraged, day-to-day oversight is minimal, and deadlines are hard and fast.

QUALIFICATIONS

Passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces. Expert in web technologies related to front-end UI development Ability to create well-abstracted, reusable UI components. Expert in mobile web responsive UI design and development. Strong handle of design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Training in graphic design is a plus. Obsessed with creating pixel-perfect implementations in all browser. Thrives in a fast-paced small team, with minimal day-to-day oversight. A strong online portfolio or examples demonstrating UX, UI design and front-end coding skills.
