Someone to whom the idea of architecting, building and maintaining systems supporting such a high user and data volume is exciting. This role will require frequent (near weekly) visits to our downtown Seattle office – the pinball machine isn’t going to play itself after-all – otherwise we are a largely virtual company with excellent workplace flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and maintain a global ecosystem of over 150 cloud, virtual, and physical servers running Linux, OpenSolaris, BSD and others supporting tens of millions of customer pageviews per day.

• Contribute to systems architecture decisions, capacity planning, documentation

• Maintain and extend systems management tools including Chef

• Manage multiple high transaction level Percona MySQL clusters, Amazon RDS, and other database technologies

• Batch and real time data processing of large customer data sets via SQL and custom tools

• Support production systems in a 24x7x365 environment, including on-call responsibilities.

• Support and collaborate with development, data analyst, sales and support staff

• Mentor junior engineering staff
