Help companies design and build better software.

We’re looking for someone with awesome front-end skills to help us on a challenging Spree project for an awesome client. You’ll join a small team with at least one other engineer, one designer, and a product manager.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Expert knowledge of Spree Commerce, particularly front-end templating
• Fluent in Git and comfortable with professional collaboration workflows
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in an agile team
• Ability to work at least 16 hours per week

Nice-to-haves

• Experience building web applications with dynamic OOP languages
• Strong knowledge of software design principles and patterns
• Experience with server-side MVC frameworks like Rails, Django, etc.
• Experience with front end JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Ember, and/or Backbone
• Ability to work from our office in Venice, CA

The ideal candidate should be passionate about building excellent products, not just excellent code. Although this is a contract position, we are open to extending a full-time offer if there is a good fit!

Salary and compensation

$80,000 — $150,000/year
