About the Role:
We are seeking a contract Art Director with opportunity to turn into possibly full-time. The Art Director will be responsible for concepting and designing the work for a variety of projects, including websites, apps, RFP decks, logo design, marketing initiatives, etc. You will work closely with the Creative Director, as well as UX directors, developers and project managers. You should feel comfortable taking risks and handling critique and praise. Looking for someone with some client-facing experience. You must be driven and disciplined as most of the work will be done off-site and on your time. We will trust you, so be trustworthy!
Core Duties:
- Must take time to truly understand the brand, the needs and requirements of your client and your audience.
- Ability to turn awesome ideas into beautiful and polished designs that are current and clean.
- Must have an eye for typography, photo composition, page layout, follow fundamental graphic design principles and deliver pixel-perfect work on every task.
- Must be able to present ideas in a compelling intuitive language and format that laypeople understand.
- Absolutely no buzzwords and no BS.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Two to five years hands-on experience as an Art Director
- Decent portfolio of live projects
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign and Keynote
- Clear command of the English language and rules of grammar
- Passion and pride in your work
Salary and compensation
$50,000 — $90,000/year
