Tech Intern

As our tech intern you’ll be working directly with our CTO and gain valuable experience developing software for a live webapp used by customers all over the world.

Potential projects include:

Developing an external API and/or developing additional apps upon it. Implementing A/B testing to tune existing features and developing new features. Improving user experience with React. JS based frontend. Scaling gracefully – Interested in Dev Ops, docker and/or how to create horizontally distributed backends? We have some opportunities in this area. User verification – the quality of the participants is vital for a crowdsourcing platform. We want you to help weed out the bad and encourage the good. Applications of Machine Learning for interested candidates here. As our tech intern and depending on your interest, you’ll learn how to work with the following technologies (no previous experience required): HTML/CSS, Python (Django), MongoDB, Javascript, (React JS + JQuery), Git / Github, Continuous integration (CI) using Travis CI/Circle CI, Docker, Cloud hosting (AWS/Linode).

What do I need to know already?

Some background in any programming language + a desire to learn fast!

Project duration & compensation:

The project will commence on July 1st and finish on September 30th, 2015.

Each intern will be paid £2100 for the duration of the project (i.e. £700/month).

You will have a lot of flexibility in terms of working hours (no 9-5 nonsense!), so it’s important that you’re driven and can work independently.
