We are seeking a motivated and skilled Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in supporting and expanding our hybrid infrastructure, which includes a significant Windows presence alongside a growing Linux environment in AWS. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies and contribute to a critical part of our organization.

Responsibilities:

– Support and maintain Windows (60%) and Linux (40%) server environments as a core responsibility.

– Assist in the management and utilization of AWS services such as AWS Backup and AppStream.

– Participate in the implementation and management of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning AWS EC2 instances.

– Utilize AWS Systems Manager (SSM) to assist in monitoring patching activities performed by other teams within our AWS environment.

– Contribute to the support and maintenance of core infrastructure components, including operating systems, computer instances, security groups, VPCs, and network configurations.

– Provide support for virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware, which underpin our office and Contract Manufacturing site infrastructure.

– Collaborate with other teams to ensure the stability and performance of our overall infrastructure.

– Ability to analyze system logs, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across our hybrid environment.

– Document system configurations, standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

– Demonstrated experience supporting Windows and Linux Server environments.

– Proficiency in advanced English, both written and spoken, for effective global communication.

Nice-to-Haves:

– Familiarity with AWS services such as AWS Backup and AppStream.

– Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools for managing cloud resources.

– Exposure to AWS Systems Manager (SSM) or similar configuration management tools.

– Understanding of core infrastructure concepts (OS, compute, security groups, VPC, networking).

– Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Hyper-V and VMware.

– Knowledge of system configuration management tools such as Puppet.

– A proactive approach to system monitoring and maintenance.

– A collaborative spirit and a willingness to assist with issues beyond the core infrastructure when needed.

– Experience with the Agile methodology.
