Primary Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and general claims support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing, and adjusting claims
- Analyze and identify trends and provide reports as needed
- Meet established productivity, schedule, and quality standards consistently
This role is demanding and requires the ability to thoroughly review, analyze, and research complex healthcare claims to identify discrepancies, verify pricing, confirm prior authorizations, and process claims for payment. You must be comfortable using various computer systems to find key information. Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy and support timely processing of members’ claims.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent years of work experience
- 1+ year of experience in a related setting (e.g., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.), using phones and computers as primary work tools
- Proficiency with computer systems and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex software
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience processing medical, dental, prescription, or mental health claims
Telecommuting Requirements
- Must have a dedicated work area separate from other living spaces that ensures information privacy
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live where you can access a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or already have an existing high-speed internet service

Pay depends on factors such as education, work experience, certifications, and more.
