Are you a detail-oriented professional with excellent listening and transcription skills? Welo Data is launching an exciting project and is looking for talented individuals to join our team as Transcribers. In this remote role, you will accurately transcribe audio recordings and add meaningful context through tagging and timestamps. If you have a passion for language, cultural nuance, and precision, we’d love to hear from you!

What you will do:
– Listen to audio recordings in the target language and transcribe the content with high accuracy.
– Include timestamps in your transcriptions to match the audio.
– Tag recordings with emotions, context, and other relevant metadata to improve project outputs.
– Ensure transcriptions are culturally appropriate and reflect the intended tone and meaning.
– Work with the project team to maintain consistency and quality across all transcriptions.
– Meet deadlines and follow specific transcription guidelines and formatting requirements.

Project Details
Commitment: Flexible—minimum 10–15 hours per week (up to 20 hours depending on availability).
Job Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Requirements:
– Native or professional proficiency (C1/C2) in the target language, along with strong English proficiency.
– Previous experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic projects is highly preferred.
– Ability to recognize and distinguish regional dialects, emotions, and contextual cues in audio.
– Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and the ability to produce error-free transcriptions.
– Familiarity with transcription tools/software, including working with timestamps and tags.
– Availability to meet deadlines and deliver consistent, high-quality work.
