https://earthtones.travel is 6 weeks away from launching its beta, and is seeking a self-driven, passionate, and social media-savvy intern to help define and execute our social media and content marketing strategy and to meaningfully develop and grow our community of rabid travel enthusiasts, using your unique brand of social media and marketing brilliance.
We need somebody excited to find every living person on the planet who agrees with our philosophy of travel, discovery, and exploration, and save them from the tragedy of boring, uninspiring, mundane, packaged resort holidays & mass-tourism destinations.
If you are an avid traveler who loves to initiate online conversations, instinctively shares content via social media, dreams of innovative content for the web, and knows how to use content strategically to build a following — whether it be through social channels, email marketing, newsletters, website copy, or blog posts — this is a dream job.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Growing our user base • Social media content management and marketing • Customer and user outreach for feedback, engagement, and customer delight • Content creation through shares, posts, tweets, writingother forms of media are possible including photography, video curation and drone videography, if any would be of interest • Initiate, design and execute your own promotional campaigns.
You also: • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills • You are exceptionally active on social media and take pride in your ability to curate, dream up, and create interesting content • Get what it means to join a startup (flexible, fervent, fearless, fast, independent), and are eager to learn • Are looking for more than “just an internship” • Are detail-oriented and occasionally you have dreams about typography.
This position can quickly turn into a full-time position if a mutual fit exists, requires a minimum of 15-20hrs/week, and can be for course credit. A stipend can also be discussed.
