I’m looking for a qualitative or mixed-methods researcher to join us at Thumbtack on a 6-month contract! This role will oversee our rolling research program, helping us uncover insights that improve the experience of homeowners and service professionals on our platform. 🔍 What You’ll Do: - Manage and run our rolling research program—consistently conduct studies every two weeks, with topics and participant samples (customers or pros) changing week to week. This includes designing the studies, conducting research sessions, analyzing findings, and sharing insights. - Collaborate closely with embedded researchers who work within product teams and will identify priority questions and research needs. - Work cross-functionally with product and design to understand their user questions and ensure insights drive real impact. - Communicate research findings through reports and presentations. 📌 Who You Are: - Early-mid career researcher with experience in qualitative or mixed-methods research. - Skilled in user interviews, usability testing, and research synthesis (bonus if comfortable with surveys). - Strong communicator who can turn research into actionable insights. - Experience collaborating with product and design teams is a plus.
