About us

Our mission is to empower people through technology to help create safer organizations. When it comes to safety, nothing is more important than being able to reach for help when you need it. That is why we designed our proprietary panic button solution for organizations that need to protect employees and others who may be at risk. It consists of proprietary technology that provides continuous coverage throughout a facility, even in dead zones to provide a lifeline when it is needed most. It operates independently of the facilities network, so it is always on. ROAR’s solution is the choice of major hotel chains and healthcare providers due to its ease of use, redundant backups, and maintainability.

“It's 5,000 people a day in and out, and that’s a lot of people to come in contact with, so to have that extra layer of security is important.”        The Westin Bonaventure Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, sets a high bar for service and safety. As the largest hotel on the West Coast, it has more than one million square feet of multifunctional space, including 44 venues, 1,358 guest rooms and a staff of more than 700 employees. Maintaining the balance between top-class hospitality and the safety of all stakeholders is always a challenge.         Ahead of the curve, The Weston Bonaventure Hotel implemented ROAR’s duress alert system in 2019—well before LA’s 2022 mandate requiring panic buttons in hotels with over 60 rooms. As the hotel expanded, its safety needs grew. Fortunately, ROAR’s continuous innovation enhanced coverage, improved reliability, and offered precise geo-location, ensuring even stronger protection for employees and guests.        Download our latest case study to learn how one of the largest hotels in the U.S. benefitted from ROAR’s scalable duress alert solution to protect employees and guests in the most isolated areas of its expansive facility. https://lnkd.in/eCck35Tq #HospitalitySafety #WorkplaceViolencePrevention #HotelCaseStudy

Workplace violence is more than a safety issue—it’s a barrier to patient care, staff retention, and growth. For a nationwide behavioral healthcare provider, escalating incidents of violence were driving staff turnover, reputational risks, and costly legal settlements. Employees were leaving faster than they could be replaced, and the organization faced mounting challenges in creating a safe, supportive environment. In our latest case study, we explore how ROAR’s technology helped turn the tide—delivering better care, safer working conditions, and real peace of mind. By integrating ROAR’s wireless panic button system with their existing two-way radios, this provider implemented a cost-effective, two-pronged safety solution. The results were transformative: 🔹 40% reduction in assaults against staff 🔹 50% reduction in workers’ compensation claims 🔹 Improved staff well-being and job security 🔹 A safer, more inclusive workplace that supported retention and recruitment To learn more, download the case study: https://lnkd.in/egwcKMdV #WorkplaceSafety #BehavioralHealth #Retention #Innovation

More than 80% of nurses have experienced workplace violence in the past year—and nearly half say the problem is getting worse. ER nurses are especially at risk, with 7 in 10 reporting being kicked or hit on the job. Yet, only 30% of nurses say there’s always someone available to respond, and just 17% see their workplaces adding staff to improve safety.     Duress systems are safety nets for nurses and patients during emergencies. The nurse simply presses a button, sending an instant alert to a central station. From there, help is dispatched, preventing problems from escalating.      ROAR CEO Yasmine Mustafa further explores the role of advanced duress systems in healthcare in Healthcare IT Today.  Learn more:  https://lnkd.in/eajKykX2  #HealthcareITToday #WorkplaceSafety

When every second counts, a duress alert button can make all the difference.    "The importance of using the ROAR button in safety situations is critical to staff and patient safety. Especially when radios aren’t available, the ROAR button has helped significantly."     This quote from a ROAR customer site underscores a simple but powerful truth—having instant access to call for help can be a game-changer in workplace safety.
