Our collaboration with WHO Kazakhstan and Astana Medical University on the Gender Differences Among Frontline Healthcare Workers project has been a powerful step towards addressing the unique challenges faced by healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a project size of $30,000+, we analysed data from 433 participants and uncovered key findings that highlighted the disproportionate burdens women faced, including emotional exhaustion, burnout, and increased workplace violence. These insights have led to actionable recommendations for the national health system. Since 2019, Fjelltopp has proudly collaborated with the WHO to support evidence-informed health policies at the national level. We worked with WHO Ukraine, assisting their efforts to help the Ministry of Health progress toward universal health coverage, completing the project in 2020. Partnering with Dr. Omar Saleh, WHO’s Emergency and Trauma Coordinator, we provided technical expertise in data collection, analysis, and research, contributing to impactful health strategies. We also built them a comprehensive picture of the challenges and opportunities facing EMS through quantitative and qualitative research.
