Incredible news for George's Law! Seeing Keeley Lengthorn of RWK Goodman on GB News discussing the landmark change to Bereavement Leave is truly inspiring. This legislation, granting two weeks of paid leave for parents who suffer a miscarriage before 24 weeks, marks a crucial step forward in workplace bereavement support. Keeley's journey, having experienced the loss of three children within three years, has fuelled her unwavering commitment to advocating for this vital reform. Her dedication and resilience have been instrumental in passing George's Law. As mentioned in the interview, we're proud to have supported Keeley's vision by developing Workplace Pregnancy Loss training designed to equip organisations with the tools to provide compassionate support to colleagues going through a miscarriage. However, we hope this milestone is one of many in the efforts to improve support for families and colleagues who have to endure such a devastating issue. Sustained workplace support for those returning after miscarriage must be the next priority. Employers have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to build on this progress and ensure compassion remains at the heart of their workplace.
