Leisure travelers have historically been classified as price-sensitive, especially now, as many American households are tightening their belts. However, the data tells a different story. A new report from HTS titled, “The Value Driven Traveler,” found: 🛍️ 61% of leisure travelers compare prices and inventory across 3 or more websites and apps before making a travel booking ✅ While most travelers cross-shop 3+ platforms before making a purchase, more than half of customers do not go on to book the cheapest option available. ✈️ 40% of flight customers claim they are booking the most comfortable and convenient option, 18% are booking the most flexible option, and 8% are choosing a luxury offering.
