In this role, you will assist with safety review efforts for the production of our Original series and translated content, and work with our policy research efforts. You must be detail-oriented, visual, and self-motivated with strong communications skills.

This is a 14-week internship, requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with 1 day per week in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:

    • Review Original content in production, conduct research on topics and themes presented in the story, and prepare reports of potential brand safety concerns.
    • Work cross-functionally with team members from Content, Localization, Editorial Programming on content safety and quality control on episodes scheduled for publication.
    • Conduct research, track and analyze policy trends on topics such as censorship, copyright, media and entertainment policies, and internet laws.
    • Support the drafting of memos, policy briefs, fact sheets, weekly updates, and background research on issues related to content policies and trends.
    • Keep up-to-date on current global socio-political events and assist with policy research and analysis.

Requirements:

    • Education: Recent graduate or senior in Media Studies, Community Studies, Journalism, Sociology or related fields
    • Interested in diversity and inclusion, content policy, compliance, and/or internet governance
    • Excellent research, writing and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to work independently, and culturally aware of trends and pop culture in United States, Latin America, and South Korea
    • Strong proficiency with technology: MS Office, Sharepoint
    • Bilingual in Korean or Japanese a plus.

$18 - $18 an hour
