Please note: This is a fully remote, hourly contract position. We are currently prioritizing nearshore candidates who can work at least 7 hours overlapping with the US Pacific time zone during regular business hours.

Bitovi is seeking a DevOps Engineer with Golang experience to join us as we reshape how technology is delivered. We want to connect with candidates who are passionate about building outstanding applications for our clients and who bring ideas for making technology delivery more collaborative, validation-focused, and efficient.

Who you are:

You are a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a solid grasp of the entire CI/CD pipeline and hands-on experience with Go development.

You excel at taking abstract goals from concept to completion with minimal direction, including researching, planning architecture, building proofs of concept, and delivering full-scale implementations.

You’re an independent self-starter who can effectively manage multiple projects at once with accuracy and clarity.

Your background includes:

• Over 5 years of professional experience in cloud computing
• A deep understanding of the full CI/CD pipeline
• Expertise with at least two CI tools and two CD tools
• Experience building complex cloud infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform
• Experience deploying and maintaining multiple production-grade Kubernetes clusters
• Experience deploying and managing enterprise applications on Kubernetes
• Experience writing Helm charts
• Experience creating and publishing Docker containers
• Experience implementing and using GitOps workflows
• Experience writing Bash scripts, Golang applications, and at least one additional programming language
• Experience enhancing system reliability through metrics, logging, tracing, and APM tools

What you’ll do at Bitovi:

Build and configure:

Your daily work will focus on engineering tasks, and projects may include:

• Migrating applications from on-premises environments to the cloud
• Managing configuration for infrastructure and application deployments
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Designing cloud architectures, application stacks, and tool ecosystems for clients

Consult:

You’ll help guide clients through their DevOps transformations, meeting with them regularly to understand their needs and share project updates.

This is a contract-to-hire position. You will begin as an hourly contractor working on a single client project with the Bitovi team, with the possibility of transitioning into a longer-term, full-time contract role.
