Silicon Hub is building the AI-powered future of semiconductor IP discovery and automation. We’ve already launched a product loved by early customers—and now we’re looking for our Founding AI Engineer to take our core intelligence engine to the next level.

This is a founding-level opportunity to lead all things AI at a high-potential startup backed by deep industry insight. You’ll design and scale real-world systems that power complex search, reasoning, and generation tools—driven by LLMs, embeddings, and proprietary datasets.

🎯 What You’ll Do

• Enhance and scale our current AI-powered features (LLM + embeddings + ElasticSearch stack)
• Fine-tune or pretrain open models (e.g., OpenAI, Mistral, LLaMA) for domain-specific tasks
• Build intelligent retrieval and reasoning systems tailored to semiconductor IPs
• Design agents and AI systems capable of generating new IP metadata, structures, or classifications
• Be a strategic partner to the CEO and CTO—help shape the future of AI in chip design

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience with LLMs (OpenAI API, HuggingFace, or custom fine-tuning)
• Strong grasp of RAG pipelines and vector search (Milvus, FAISS, ElasticSearch, hybrid search)
• Python backend experience (FastAPI or equivalent frameworks)
• Ability to train or fine-tune models for niche, highly technical domains
• Understanding of metrics to evaluate generative models and search accuracy
• Entrepreneurial mindset—able to move fast and iterate with limited resources
• Willingness to work for equity (with future compensation as we scale)

🌟 Bonus Points

• Exposure to semiconductors or EDA tools (even basic knowledge helps!)
• Experience launching AI-powered product features from scratch
• Skills in prompt engineering, chunking, and RAG system optimization
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, tools, or tool-based reasoning
• Academic research background or notable open-source contributions in ML/NLP
